Empathy Test

I shared this song in a blog-post back in June this year. It deserves to be part of my music anthology of all my music posted every month since 2011. But it also deserves it because mental-illness or mental-health in the U.S. has been a grossly unknown, misunderstood, and under-funded part of all healthcare for all Americans for at least 150-years.

In today’s age of advance medicine, neurology, and psychology-psychiatry and successful treatment rehab programs, America still has so much further to go to address and improve this national often ignored problem. Mentally-ill patients usually fill our prisons to near capacity because of so few clinics, mental hospital beds, and instead end up in our prisons, repeatedly. After two or three incarcerations, the patient has no real hope or opportunity of returning to society as a productive, self-sustaining citizen. We “normal” citizens set them up for constant failure. This has to change!

Once again, here is Monsters by Empathy Test.

When all’s been said and done
And another day’s begun
When the lines go on and on
And all you’ve got is gone
You’ve doused yourself in sin
And the daylight’s creeping in
When the shadows start to grow, oh
Maybe it’s time to go?
Maybe it’s time to go?
Maybe it’s time to go?

When all’s been said and done
No distance left to run
When the emptiness arrives
And there’s nowhere left to hide
When it’s stacking up inside
From the corners of your mind
When the teardrops start to flow, oh
Maybe it’s time to go?
Maybe it’s time to go?

Baby, I’ve got the monsters
Baby, I’ve got the monsters
Baby, I’ve got the monsters
Baby, I’ve got the monsters, again
Baby, I’ve got the monsters
Baby, I’ve got the monsters
Baby, I’ve got the monsters, again

Maybe it’s time to go?
Maybe it’s time to go?
