Andain is a music duo out of San Francisco, CA with an electronic-acoustical blend of dark emotional sounds and lyrics. This is exactly why I dig their music. This particular song “After:” speaks to the circumstance of loss, separation, or abandonment in life — a very real part of families and/or relationships…and really about life itself. Life is never just about roses, riches, and R&R. Many things and many relationships that are raw, have their painful ups and downs. Try to connect with the singer Mavie Marcos and what she is expressing…
(paragraph separation)
Feeling the flame burn
Feeling my veins hurt
After the wave forms
After the world stormsYou spoke in side words
Failing the offer
Sending me out there
Feeling the cold airYou’re gone
You’re goneFeeling the right words
Feeling the unheard
After the wave forms
After the world stormsYou broke in my fears
Leaving me inside
Sending me out there
Feeling the cold airYou’re gone, I open
I will, I will see
Up and up and on and on and
Down and over meAnd night after night of fooling myself
I would like to rewind and find something I’d never felt
And night after night I would tire of fooling myself
I could find what it’s like to lose something after it fellAs you’re gone I open
I will, I will see
Up and up and on and on and
Down and over me

Perfect timing for me as I just closed down on a connection. The lunar eclipse was sending me the strength to do this. I can feel myself healing and moving forward~ Thanks dear~ xoxoxo A/s

Happy it touched you. There’s a question I sometimes ask myself during disappointing painful circumstances of loss, separation, etc. and it is “What would life be like…what would MY life be like if I got everything I always wanted, in every instance?” Never any sadness. Think about that. Then answer the question “How deeply then could I love/appreciate someone I hold dear or love if they were always available, never gone?” Many near-death survivors become eternally changed after their experience, having gained a new profound outlook of life and them-self they would’ve never achieved through constant satisfaction. 🙂
