Thank you for this post. I just watched the two presidents–Biden and Zelensky–hold a press conference in which they were careful not to overpromise what America can give Ukraine at this critical point (because of the pro-Putin Republicans’ Trump-fomented blackmail over the border). Heartbreaking and despicable and such a danger to US national security. We must hope that those who feel as you and I do are flooding their elected officials with phone calls “educating” them on their responsibilities–and the very real fact that much of this money will go to defense contractors in the US making weaponry.

Yes Annie, if one particular, saber-rattling political party in this country gets their way, I’m afraid Ukrainians and Zelensky will find they CANNOT grind out victories in the end. If that should happen, then NATO (minus the USA, astonishingly & shamefully!) would be their only hope. 🥺
How utterly dishonorable would that be for the U.S. and our beacon of democracy to the rest of the world?
