I am beginning to get quite tired of Americans bitching and moaning about how horribly Donny J. Trump is ruining this country, both domestically and in foreign affairs. It is getting annoying and nauseating to keep listening to and reading about American voters getting angry, publicly protesting, and just giving lip-service to what SHOULD have been voiced and acted upon back in October–November 2024.
The fact is, that bitching, protesting, fighting HAD to be waged back in April 2023 when Project 2025: The Conservative Mandate was published for ALL American voters to read… precisely what Trump and his MAGA sycophants said they were going to do to our entire federal government and our Constitution. Surprise! No… no surprise.
But how many Americans actually read the MAGA Republican’s 790-page blueprint to trash the country? No one. Did anyone prepare for their overhaul of our Charters of Freedom and trashing of our Constitution? No one. And NOW they are starting to bitch, moan, and whine far too late? WTF people!
I am getting very tired of listening today to Americans complain to what Trump and his MAGA sycophants said they would do if he got voted back into office. He and the MAGA-eots are doing it. And how many lazy ass, indifferent, apathetic, non-patriotic Americans did NOT vote last October–November? I’ll tell you, almost 90-million Americans did not vote last autumn. That was more than enough American voters to keep Trump out of the White House! Plenty of No-Votes against Trump!
Quit your bitching, moaning, and whining Americans, THIS is what YOU allowed to happen by not participating in protecting our democracy, our Charters of Freedom, and letting a fascist dictator back into the White House! đĄđ¤Ŧ So shut tha hell up with non-stop whining about what the Orange Orangutan is doing to this nation. Yes, he is ruining it, he is trashing it, and he is indeed a shameful 4th-grader embarrassment that behaves like an immature spoiled, bullying brat! But voting Americans… YOU let him back into the White House. So show some accountability, belly-up, and STOP your god damn effing whining already!
We deserve this. Period.

Thank you Ned for your feedback. Did you read all 790-pages of Project 2025: The Conservative Mandate back when it was published or after?

No, did not read whole thing… read enough commentry on it to see how insane it is and how much it pleases faux-libertarians. I voted and advised my 80 some followers to votes. Learned my lesson when Nixon got elected and I had voted third party. No, one deserves the evil we are now experiencing. Hope and pray that mid-terms buries GOP.

Reminds me of running into people while traveling in Mexico in Feb who told me they donât hold Trumpâs actions against the American people. I said that was kind of them, but that I did.

Well, unfortunately (or not?) most Mexicans do not know or understand how our electoral system works—that we all have a voice and (some/a lot) of control over who gets in office. And those elected officials “appoint” others in certain offices, chairs, etc. Thus, in reality they SHOULD hold us accountable for who gets into the White House.
Thank you Carol for your feedback, it is appreciated Ma’am. đ

Morning Dwain.
Maybe the US needs to go through this nonsense to understand and appreciate what is a true democratic country?

I don’t know Doug if today’s American public and those voters are intelligent enough to learn hard lessons. They’d rather point fingers at others and blame “them.” It’s called shirking responsibility or passing the buck. We Americans do this amply and quite well whether consciously or unconsciously.

Schadenfreude is supposed to be a somewhat pleasant experience… In this case it’s a tough pill to swallow. You’re right, it’s the dumb fucks who brought this upon us. If only, the actions of dumb fucks, only affected dumb fucks.
Yelling “way to go dumb fucks!” as the world burns down around us, is about all we’ve got.

Couldn’t agree more Shell. But as I told Ark (Doug) up above, we dumb f*ck Americans today are NOTHING like our Greatest Generation during WW2. Not even close to that good.

While I appreciate your anger and frustration with the non-voters, I think it needs to be pointed out that MANY (as indicated by the numbers) Democrats did not vote because they DID NOT want a woman sitting in the Oval Office. I don’t excuse them at all, but I firmly believe “she” played a major role.
As for what’s going on right now … where are the stand-up Democrats? Why aren’t they yelling at the top of their lungs? Cory is the ONLY one that stands out and he’s even been ridiculed for his actions. What we need, PT, is more folks like YOU screaming in folks’ ears to get off their behinds and start making noise. I have hopes the “resistance” marches coming up will make at least a dent in people’s minds, but I’m not holding my breath.
Sorry for being so pessimistic, but I follow the news just like you do.

I agree with you 100% Nan. Personally, I think the disaster that is the Democratic Party is self-inflicted and they are too disorganized, too self-consumed to change it. Now it is way too late. If the primaries coming up don’t change things significantly then our next few years are going to be much, MUCH worse than they are now. That’s guaranteed.
And I wouldn’t say you are “pessimistic,” just a realist about what voting Americans allowed to happen last Fall. đ¤ˇââī¸đ¤Ļââī¸

Lenny, you guys have every right to criticize, mock, demean our current President as you all see fit. He deserves every bit of it. I especially LOVED what German Prime Minister, Friedrich Merz, recently said to the Orange Orangutan and gave him as a gift. That is precisely how the Orange Baby should be treated by all foreign dignitaries, with the exceptions of Putin, Kim Jong Un, Viktor OrbÃĄn, King Salman (Saudi Arabia), or any other fascist leaders around the world that tRumpy adores, admires, and worships.
Isn’t it so ironic that for June 14th, tRumpy’s birthday, he is spending a crazy exorbitant amount of tax-payer dollars for a military parade? Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, and Benito Mussolini also did the same repeatedly while they were still barely alive. That’s not coincidence, that’s egomania from a fascist wanna-be. đĄ

You are right to be angry, right to vent your frustration. In the past ten years despite all the gathering evidence there are substantial chunks of the US population who could be likened to folk on the Titanic looking out, pointing and saying:
‘Oooh good. There’ll be plenty of ice for the drinks,’
Or
‘Aww. Don’t worry. They’ll steer around it, and anyway that’s just ice. We’re on a big modern ship made of steel’
Folk who didn’t vote because they couldn’t see the difference between Harris and Trump….Jeeeeeeez Loooooeeez! Gimme a break!!!! (I stop at this stage to gather my restraint lest really bad words arrive on the reply)
One section I would like to drive into a corner and harangue are the ones who piously said ‘We will not vote Democrat because of Biden’s stance over Israel,’
In the name of all that is rational how was that supposed to help the Palestinians when the alternative was Trump and his fundamentalist Book of Revelation junkies ? Politics in the raw reality is no place for the naïve, who by the way thanks to their stance are now complicit in creating their own ‘Palestinian’ style crisis only in this case the folk are Latin American refugees.
Rage on friend.

It is very hard to keep the BP within safety levels.
In the UK where we have witnessed a vote to leave the EU; followed by the arrival of the singularly most incompetent unqualified Prime Minister- Boris Johnson at the time, although Liz Truss topped that, and now the rise of the quasi-MAGA Reform run by Nigel ‘Do You Need Any Help With The Bag of Money?’ Farage you can see that the USA is not unique, albeit a trend leader.
Analysists and observers may spend time making detached commentaries as to why this is happening, I could do it myself. But why bother when the answer is obvious.
Another outbreak of that fearful human affliction Terminal Stupidity.

WOW. Just WOW.
A lot of us read ~ well, not the whole Project 2025 document, but enough to know what was in it ~ & we WARNED everyone we knew ~ Democrats, Republicans, liberals, conservatives, MAGAts, Christians, Muslims, Pagans, Buddhists – EVERYONE.
ONLY A FEW BELIEVED THAT IT WOULD EVER BE ENACTED.
In fact, most everyone ~ included Democrats ~ told me that it was a “Democrat scare tactic” to get people to vote for Kamala Harris ~ for whom NO Republicans wanted & many Democrats didn’t want & for whom they didn’t want to vote ~ & apparently, they didn’t.
I really take offense in this post that we’re WHINING.
A lot of us are in the streets protesting. Or we’re doing whatever else we can to fight this tyranny.
I would add more but I really don’t want to start throwing F-bombs around. But don’t tell me what we’re WHINING. Too much or too late or anytime at all.

Thank you SAQ for your feedback. It is appreciated. And please don’t take offense (or too much?) about whiners. It certainly wasn’t directed at you specifically, it was a general accusation to Americans, in the media, on radio shows, and in the streets.
Plus, I can’t understand why Americans (in general) do NOT learn from history. History is repeating again like in 1930’s and 40’s Germany! And btw, Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini all had massive military parades for their birthdays or special events. Look what tRump is doing June 14th. History repeating itself as clear as day and Americans are asleep at the wheel. đ¤Ļââī¸đ

The young and nubile have no clue about the 1930’s and 40’s (I doubt very much it’s a main subject in today’s schools), so for them to recognize that history is repeating itself? Surely you jest. And the “old(er) folk”? They are often too busy dealing with the many aches and pains of old age to fight the system. IOW, unless something really DRASTIC happens, I’m afraid we are doomed.

That is indeed Nan what WILL happen for those folks. The best example of this asleep at the wheel Americans and them not learning from history… is Climate Change. They will not rise up until we are all way past the Point of No Return, pass the tipping point of Earth being able to recover on her own and stabilize. It will definitely be Dooms Day for our species here. Even today when the evidence has overwhelmingly piled up since the late 1970’s, everyone continues with business as usual and it will be far too late to stop it.
I’ve often quoted Marcus Tullius Cicero about people NEVER learning what happened before they were born, but today’s majority do not take any of those (many hard learned) lessons seriously. đ¤Ļââī¸đ

I understand why people don’t learn from history. I lived in two states growing up ~ New York & Massachusetts. In New York, we mainly learned New York history, which was a hefty amount of Iroquois history & the building of the Erie Canal & how New York became an economic powerhouse. In Massachusetts, I learned history the old-fashioned way ~ the memorization of dates ~ in which I excelled ~ European history & then American history, with a strong emphasis on Massachusetts history & Revolutionary War ~ which started in Boston, after all ~ I was in Massachusetts for the Bicentennial & was part of the 1975 celebration of the Paul Revere’s ride ~ I have a gold coin that was given to all of us who was part of that ~ & the abolitionist movement, which was a big part in starting the Civil War.
BUT ~ I was also one of the kids who was in the “fast track to college” ~ most kids weren’t taking these history classes. & most kids could care less about history. Just like today.
At home, we had HUNDREDS of books, including Will & Ariel Durant’s Story of Civilization series ~ which I now own ~ which I read several times before the age of 18 & recently reread. My father was reading The Rise & Fall of the Third Reich by William L Shirer for most of 1974 ~ when he finished it, I started reading it. This is another book I now own. I took Nazi History my freshman year in college, taught by a professor who left Austria after the Anshluss ~ he was Jewish.
I have talked to people from the southern states & I have learned that in their “history” classes, they learned about “the war of Northern Aggression”, which is a telling name for a war THEY started.
History remains one of my favorite subjects. I read a LOT of history books, biographies & historical novels. I like historical movies, even the ones that fudge the facts for entertainment value.
Most people I know rarely read at all. They are glued to their TV sets & they watch sporting events or the news & we all know the value of MSM nowadays.
Another thing is that most people I know don’t believe that fascism is happening ~ or already happened ~ in the US because the footage they see of Nazi Germany is always in BLACK & WHITE. They can’t wrap their heads around the fact that these images were FILMED in black & white & the soldiers & the people in the crowds & Hitler himself were in LIVING COLOR.
Plus, I think they just don’t care. As long as they can go along with their lives, they’re OK. As long as they can buy things they need as reasonable prices & watch the Bills win every Sunday & complain about the weather, who cares if the the US is a democracy or a fascist nation?
In the book They Thought They Were Free, the Germans in the 30s were quite the same way.

Ahh, SAQ… this is an excellent comment with equally excellent content and history. Thank you very much. You’ve made some sobering implications about how Americans learn (or don’t learn?) history whether it’s world, national, state, or local communities, ESPECIALLY foreign or unfamiliar cultures/people. The latter fear or naivety too often introduces xenophobia, yes? âšī¸
Sadly, I believe many Americans suffer from this condition today. Thank you again for this reply! âââââđ¯
