Who’s the Real Criminal?

A few weeks back I recommended an online tee-shirt shop to a few of my blogging friends. At the time I did not know that the actual company where these tees shipped from was in China, Yanwen to be exact. As some of you or most of you know, our Baby Orange Orangutan in the White House hates all foreign countries, especially China, and has levied hard heavy tariffs on imported Chinese commerce and trade, so hard are his tariffs that I have no less than seven (7) products/items/orders STILL sitting in customs being “inspected” that I have paid for already. One of those orders are t-shirts from ActorUSATees.com back on Sept. 9th, 2025. Here is the shipping manifest of these tees:

Notice that on 9/12/25 the order was received at Whittier, CA for “inspection,” and has been in inspection ever since. I mean, how hard is it to “inspect” t-shirts? Really? WTF!

Now, as I mentioned I also have several other orders from China, Mexico, and Italy. None of these items have made it past “Customs Inspection” and these items were ordered as far back as July 2nd, 2025.

So I ask all of you… Who is the real actual criminal in all this bullshit customs inspections of legal items I have already purchased and I want, badly want!? Who is it that is telling me what I can and cannot legally buy from merchants around the world? Is that true democracy? Is that true freedom? More importantly, is that what America stands for… a king, monarch, dictator, megalomaniac narcissist that tells me what I can and cannot do, what I can and cannot say, what I can and cannot spend my own money on? 😡

  4. This reminds me of my experience this summer. Along with Chelsea in the EPL and The MIGHTY MIGHTY Rovers of Tranmere in League Two, I became a Dartford FC (GO DARTS!) fan. And because Target Darts became the jersey partner this season, I wanted to get one. I didn’t even know if they would ship to the US and I emailed the team’s merch department twice with no reply. So I simply ordered one anyway, prepaying with the plastic. And this was just days prior to the tariffs going into effect. I figgered it would take awhile and it did, but I finally got an email informing that my order was being processed. WOO HOO! Then I got that “UH, OH!” email I was dreading — the one that sez, “Ship to the US? No way, José!” But, it wasn’t that. It was the “We need moar of yer money due to tariffs” message. A reasonably priced Adidas made replica jersey for a 7th tier, Non-league (a bit of a misnomer, that), Isthmian League team went from $60-something to right at a C-note (overseas shipping).

    In for a penny, in for a pound . . . .

    My tracking info looked much like yours — the order was canceled right after the team started the process, and then reauthorized after the payment. My package remained at a NJ customs center for almost a week, was finally shipped but there wazza dearth of tracking info for about 3-5 days, but it finally arrived on my front porch. The UK shipping company has no presence here in the US, and they employ several third-party agents to move stuff once it gets here. So yes, I got my Dartford FC replica jersey.

    Oddly enough, since then I have ordered off-brand dart supplies on Amazon that came directly from China, and no one contacted me for extra money.

  5. As someone who deals with import/export regularly, I can explain 🙂 The tariffs were instituted without USPS and local shippers having a plan in place to collect said tariffs. For that reason EU post offices along with many others around the world have suspended shipping to the US altogether. To the point that USPS international deliveries are currently down 80%. Your package isn’t being inspected multiple times, these are just automatic system updates that repeat themselves and will continue to repeat until they figure out a new system 😦

  6. Good luck, PT. But I think there is a good chance Border Security has already chucked your purchase into the proverbial Undeliverable bin. Not many people with a conscience still work for the Dandy Trump-A-Doodle Duck. I feel for Americans right now, but that’s about as meaningful as “thoughts and prayers.”
