A Very Simple Question for Trump-Americans Today

By now everyone has likely heard and gotten wind about the shameful, disgraceful tirade Vice-president J.D. Vance and President Trump went on with and against President Zelensky of Ukraine. To say this childish behavior from the White House was unprecedented is to wrongly identify the facts of the last 4-years (Feb. 22, 2022) and the last 11-years (Feb. 20, 2014).

US President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky listen to Vice President JD Vance (R)as they meet in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC, February 28, 2025. Zelensky on February 28 told Trump there should be “no compromises” with Russian President Vladimir Putin as the parties negotiate to end the war after Moscow’s invasion. (Photo by SAUL LOEB / AFP)

Trump and Vance wrongly accuse Zelenskyy and Ukraine of ‘not wanting peace’ in their illegally occupied country. This is classic Trump diversion tactics of historical, contextual facts and “foolish” naive American Trump-Vance supporters. One simple question to Americans, particularly MAGA Republicans, will easily make light of their idiotic fallacy about the war in Ukraine made by Russia and Vladimir Putin. That question is this:

If North Korea invaded the United States and seized huge swathes of American soil, reducing our 50-states to say… 34 states, would loving patriotic Americans stop fighting and defending their country’s borders because China accuses America of not wanting peace, in negotiation attempts between Kim Jong Un and President Trump?

The answer is GLARINGLY obvious. Duh.

So why should President Zelenskyy and Ukrainians drop their weapons and let Putin and Russia have whatever they want in Ukraine (and the Crimea?) “for the sake of peace”? Would Trump, Vance, the U.S. Armed Forces, and real patriotic Americans just let Kim Jong Un and North Korea have whatever they want?

Exactly.

And THAT is why Trump, Vance, and all MAGA Republicans are dead wrong today praising our Commander-in-Chief and V.P. for their humiliating, childish tirade on President Zelenskyy today. Duh!

  1. If Trump –just once!– were to go on a battlefield … even for 5 minutes … he would most likely sh__ his pants so bad he couldn’t walk. Yet he sits in the White House in his pressed blue suit and extra long red tie and bleached wig and castigates a man who has led a country through the worst kind of terror and violence for 3 f-ing years! As Jill would say … Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

    • He has always pretended to be a super alpha-male, but when you do it excessively time and time again, particularly for the cameras and media, it becomes a spoof, a little orange man behind the green curtain, so to speak, pulling fake levers and empty threats. 🙄🤦‍♂️ And he has lived in that fantasy world since before Jan. 2004 with his pretend fake TV series “The Apprentice.

Shit his pants is indeed what the baby orange orangutan would do if he were shot at… as he did in Butler, PA, July 13, 2024.

      • What’s so VERY frustrating is that his devoted followers are blind to what he’s doing. Way too many of them see him as their political savior who is truly going to M-A-G-A! 🤮

  2. It was an absolutely shameful event. Trump and Vance did a bait-and-switch and showed the world what disgusting creatures they are. Clearly, their commitment is to Russia and to mining Ukraine for its resources.

Zelensky was masterful in showing us how to talk to bullies. He spoke to them directly, turned their “jokes” back on them, maintained strong in stating his country’s experiences, and never once backed down. I was impressed by his composure under enormous pressure.

  4. That meeting was bonkers, to say the least. Good on Zelensky for asking the good questions and standing up to Trump. I wish more leaders would do this. Meanwhile, Trump seems willing to throw anyone under the bus whenever his ego gets hurt.

    • It was indeed bonkers Liberated, beyond unprecedented. Zelensky is no fool and look how long the Ukrainians have held out against Putin’s army conscripts! That is utterly remarkable after 4-years of war. Wow.

Throwing anyone under the bus that crosses him is a long established Mafia Mob-boss style tactic that tRumpelstillskin has utilized all his adult life. Vengeance is what he does best.

You summed the man up perfectly. Vengeance is behind every action he has taken since he first sat down behind the presidential desk.

      • Your country is in a bad place right now, I feel for ya. In most countries, there are red lines which their leaders can’t cross, and if they did, their party (or general population) would try to get rid of them in one way or another. As an example, if our PM started praising Nazis then he would be out pretty quickly. Meanwhile your leader can say and do anything, without consequence, and even gets blindly endorsed for doing so.

  5. …and the rubes applaud Felonious Orange for being tough. Turns my fucking stomach. By the time those dumbasses figure out what’s going on, we’ll be speaking Russian, or Chinese… I guess we had a good run.

    • That makes two stomachs turning Shell. It is utterly baffling that almost 90-million American voters did NOT vote in Oct–Nov 2024. So look what has happened when Americans do not participate in their civic virtues and duties and protect their democracy. And tRump and his MAGA radicals even publicly published in April 2023 precisely what they were going to do—a literal blueprint—if tRump were elected again. He is right on track with Project 2025: The Conservative Mandate spells out explicitly.

America and lazy Americans deserve this. Period.

  6. Is there anyone left that doesn’t realize we’re in the midst of a slow-motion coup? With Fat Orange Man breaking laws in plain sight and his leader Musk-oil threatening judges with impeachment if they try and hold them to the law? It’s their clear exclamation that they are truly above the law. Sounds like 1930’s Germany to me.

    • Indeed it does sound like that RaPaR. In fact, back in 2023 when I laid the Project 2025: The Conservative Mandate next to Hitler’s Neuordnung (New Order) for Europe then the world, I was stunned and my hair stood up on the back of my neck that they were so very similar! Similar to overthrowing a government, a democracy, and a very poorly educated, lazy populous of citizens; German or American.

      • That is, to me at least, the scariest part! We have a HUGE “demographic” of completely apathetic non-voters. In fact, the single largest population group on political breakdown is the “non-voter”; the person that is old enough and has all the qualifications of a voter, but simply never goes to the polls. So, while Fat Orange Man (FOM) and his Boss are ransacking the government – at least to the extent that they actually are (there’s evidence that much of their so-called “cutting” is vacuous nonsense) – many are either cheering them on or simply couldn’t care less. And, yes, this ALSO happened in Germany during the rise of the Reich. People just didn’t want to believe what they were hearing and, therefore, wrote it off as propaganda.

At this point, it seems as though FOM voters that have come to regret their vote have been laid off from their jobs by the DOGE, and they were perfectly content to have others lose THEIR jobs, but not THEM! They are only pissed because they lost their jobs! So the majority of FOM voters are fine with them threatening judges, liberal newscasters and vocal opponents.

        This is truly scary.

        • All so spot-on RaPaR. Btw, there is an excellent documentary on Amazon Prime (if you have that) that is phenomenally good and accurate about 1930–1945 Nazi Germany. It is called How the Nazis Lost the War. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone if you want to see for yourself how tRump and MAGA Repubs are repeating history. Here’s a clip:

And of course Hitler (tRump?) were addictively obsessed with Wonder(less) Weapons that would win the war for the Reich: bigger, more complex guns and tanks; empty promises to the people via Joseph Goebbels, Minister of Propaganda. But instead what Nazi Germany really needed was a more efficient production-manufacturing military machine of what they already had! But Hitler wasted far too much national resources on bigger and better versions of everything. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Then his other catastrophic blunder was to invade the Soviet Union, fighting a 2-3 warfronts by a nation that was highly limited in production and military manufacturing. In so many, many ways tRump behaves exactly like Hitler’s Third Reich. 🤦‍♂️

  7. When I voted for Harris against my Maga Family’s view, I was told what a disappointment I was to our (now deceased) parents. I was a disgrace to the family. My father fought in WWII. My mother was a staunch supporter of FDR. Why would anyone who fought in WWII and lived through that be able to look at what Trump is doing to our country today and be proud? This is what I call disgraceful and I think my parents would agree.

    • I often remind my Mom when she is appalled by what tRump says and does these days because she and her domestic partner back in 2016 voted tRump into politics and the White House. She is now so ashamed of that vote and feels she was duped big time!

  8. Really don’t know where to start Prof. First of all my condolences to all Americans, yes even those who voted for that two faced bastard you call president (yes small p).

As a European I am utterly shocked by what I saw unfold on Friday. What is plainly obvious is it was a put up job. Who is this Vance? I thought vps were supposed to just sit and be quiet. Such a shame VZ didn’t smack him right between the eyes! Diplomacy and tact are the order of the day in such high profile, high stake meetings. Oh yes mr president (yes no capitals) this will make great tv and it will also make the russian tyrant piss hiss pants with laughter!

So where does this leave Europe now? Pretty much on our own I guess but he did give us enough warning that was his plans. Yes mr president you have a great big ocean between us, well good for you. We now look to our own leaders for their reactions. They are all being diplomatic and tactful (as they should) but deep down between the lines you know what they are thinking. We have to act now as we can’t rely on our once ‘special relations’.

And should trump have a state visit to the UK? Should he fuck! If I was Charles I would tell him to go fuck himself. However diplomacy and tact. Maybe a nice cup of tea and slice of cake at Windsor will make him change his mind just as long as he realises the people of this Country are not going to give him a warm welcome.

So what’s going to happen? My best guess is that the US will withdraw all future military aid to Ukraine and probably pull out of NATO. Then he will sit down with putin and decide the best way to carve up Europe to line their pockets (bit like in Germany in ’45).

Hope I’m wrong but four more years of that crazy as your Countries leader does not leave me very optimistic for the future. Again condolences Americans (some of) you got what you wished for, MAGA ye ha!

    • Yes Brian, to all you’ve stated. This was from Heather Cox Richardson’s blog, “Letters from an American”:

After yesterday’s Oval Office debacle, democratic nations rejected Trump and Vance’s embrace of Russia and Putin and publicly reiterated their support for Ukraine and President Zelensky. The leaders of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, the European Council, the European Parliament, the European Union, and others all posted their support for Ukraine and Zelensky.

In London today, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer greeted Zelensky with an enthusiastic hug and in front of cameras told him: “You are very, very welcome here…. As you heard from the cheers on the street outside, you have full backing across the United Kingdom. We stand with you and Ukraine for as long as it may take.”

      My emphasis.

And there will be more countries joining Ukraine and Zelensky and all those countries have EVERY RIGHT to abandon us and put tariffs or sanctions on us. We totally deserve it because we let tRump back in the White House. 😡

      • Firstly let me state I’m no supporter of our PM or his political party. Since sweeping to power (due to voter apathy, sound familiar?) his domestic policies have blatantly be aimed at those who voted for the opposition (myself included). However he is now on the world stage playing with the big boys and girls and kudos to him seems to be handling it very well. He is seen as the main link ‘tween Europe and the US so has to play it tactfully and diplomatically (those words again) but I wonder what might have been said if his visit to the States happened AFTER Friday’s debacle?

I followed the PM’s speech to parliament today, not bad, and it had the total support of ALL parties. Later the BBC posted trump’s latest spouting on ‘Truth Social’ (that has got to be the craziest platform ever! What a laugh). He claims Zelensky doesn’t want peace as long it has America’s backing and, quote, “America will not put up with it for much longer”. Why doesn’t he just come out and end the support? Stop fucking about and tell the world exactly whose side he’s on.

Who’s crazier putin or trump? In my view nothing between them except putin tells it as it is. In different circumstances the thought of russia and the US forming closer ties would be warmly welcomed. Now it is one scary scenario. Just think China, Iran, Nth Korea AND the US all backing putin! Wow I feel so safe!

As for sanctions and tariffs that’s the stupid game your potus plays.

Sleep well my MAGA friends I’m finding it a bit difficult just lately.

  9. I came across a video segment on Substack that confirms my belief in my recent post that Sen. Slotkin’s rebuttal of Trump, in which she said “Reagan would be turning over in his grave” was good politics because Trump’s traitorous acts are finally getting through to at least some of his supporters–as are the plans to dramatically cut veterans who work for the government and aid for veterans.

This is a meeting of senior citizens in which the speaker is citing the sacrifices made by our military to stop aggression. He concludes: “How in the hell can the American Legion and the VFW and these groups ever endorse Donald Trump? He’s a coward…!” And the audience applauds.

P.S. Sorry for the delay in responding. I am unwell again mostly from extreme fatigue and exhaustion. I’ve been in bed for near 48-60 hours straight just to get my strength back to 40-50%? 😵‍💫😖
